Job Summary

Holiday Inn Express & Suites Milton is seeking a motivated, detail-oriented, and responsible Housekeeping Supervisor to lead our housekeeping team. The successful candidate will help ensure that guest rooms, suites, and designated hotel areas meet our cleanliness, quality, and service expectations in accordance with IHG Brand Standards.

The ideal candidate has hotel housekeeping experience, strong leadership skills, and a commitment to guest satisfaction, teamwork, and maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming setting.

Key Responsibilities

- Supervise and coordinate daily housekeeping operations, including room assignments, cleaning schedules, and team member performance.
- Inspect guest rooms and designated areas to ensure cleanliness, room condition, presentation, and guest amenities meet hotel requirements and IHG Brand Standards.
- Clean and service assigned guest rooms and designated areas as required, following established housekeeping procedures and company policies.
- Perform routine cleaning duties when needed, including making beds, dusting furniture, vacuuming floors, cleaning and sanitizing bathrooms, replenishing guest amenities, and removing waste.
- Clean and maintain kitchen areas and in-room appliances, including refrigerators, coffee makers, cups, glasses, and silverware, where applicable.
- Monitor room status and coordinate with the Front Desk to ensure rooms are ready for arriving guests.
- Train, guide, and support housekeeping team members to maintain consistent cleaning standards and productivity.
- Monitor housekeeping supplies, linens, cleaning products, and guest amenities while minimizing waste and maintaining appropriate inventory levels.
- Report maintenance issues, damaged items, safety hazards, and unusual room conditions promptly to the appropriate department or manager.




- Follow up on inspection deficiencies and ensure corrective actions are completed.
- Maintain clean, organized, and safe housekeeping storage areas, linen rooms, and workspaces.
- Ensure lost-and-found items are properly documented, secured, and handled according to hotel procedures.
- Support preparation for IHG Quality Evaluations and other property inspections.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications

- Previous hotel housekeeping experience is required.
- Previous housekeeping supervisory or team leadership experience is preferred.
- Knowledge of hotel cleaning procedures, room inspections, linen handling, and inventory control.
- Familiarity with IHG Brand Standards is an asset.
- Strong organizational, communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to motivate team members and maintain high standards of cleanliness and productivity.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to guest satisfaction.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced hotel environment and assist with hands-on housekeeping duties when required.
- Ability to perform the essential physical duties of the position, with reasonable accommodation where applicable.
