Legend is hiring an Accounts Payable Specialist to run supplier payments and the AP cycle across our Canadian, US, UK and European entities. This is a direct replacement for an existing position, with no change to scope.

Responsibilities:

Payment runs and supplier payments

- Prepare weekly EFT batches (CAD and USD) and wire payments for each entity, and submit them for review and release
- Book foreign exchange payments through our FX payment provider, within approval limits
- Confirm funds are available in the right bank account before payments go out, coordinating timing with the Finance Controller
- Handle supplier payment inquiries and send remittance confirmations

Invoice processing and approvals

- Enter and code supplier invoices accurately, matched to purchase orders and receipts
- Manage the invoice approval folders: follow up with approvers, clear outstanding invoices and set up auto-approval for recurring invoices
- Chase approvals at month-end so all invoices for the period are entered before close

Purchase orders, prepayments and exceptions

- Set up and track supplier prepayments, including overseas suppliers, and reconcile them against invoices and refunds
- Close POs correctly, including zero-dollar invoices and partial receipts
- Investigate missing invoices and PO or pricing variances with Purchasing, Receiving and suppliers

Cards, expenses and month-end

- Review employee expense reports and corporate card transactions, including recurring software subscriptions
- Support month-end AP cut-off and AP-to-GL reconciliation
- Pull payment and invoice data for sales tax,



VAT and currency audit requests, including Belgian VAT filings
- Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

Required

- 2+ years in accounts payable, or a bookkeeping / accounting diploma with relevant experience
- Experience preparing and processing electronic payments (EFT and wires)
- Strong attention to detail, with careful handling of payment data and bank details
- Comfort working across multiple entities and currencies (CAD, USD, GBP, EUR)
- Working knowledge of Excel
- Clear, skilled communication with suppliers and internal approvers
- Integrity and discretion with sensitive financial information

Nice to have

- Experience in Isah or another manufacturing / distribution ERP
- Experience with Sage 300 or similar accounting software
- Experience with international suppliers, prepayments and FX payments
- Familiarity with VAT or sales tax reporting support
- Experience with corporate card and expense platforms

Pay: $45,000.00-$65,000.00 per year
