Infinity Women Secretariat (IWS) is a non-profit organization that connects Red River Métis women, girls, 2SLGBTQ+ members throughout the Province of Manitoba and beyond, with a mandate to promote, empower, and enhance their well-being. Incorporated on April 23, 2013, IWS has become well known in our Red River Métis communities and remains a proud affiliate of the Manitoba Métis Federation (MMF), the National Government of the Red River Métis. The IWS seeks to fill multiple full-time Security Guard positions within our Transitional Housing located in St. The Security Guard is responsible for maintaining a safe, secure, and welcoming workplace for women and children residing within the Transitional Housing complex following experiences of domestic violence, abuse, or other unsafe living situations. This is a 24/7 security position with rotating shifts, days, evenings, nights & weekends. Monitor the facility, grounds, entrances, exits, and common areas to maintain a safe and secure environment; Control and monitor access to the building in accordance with established policies and confidentiality requirements; Verify visitors, contractors,



and service providers to prevent unauthorized individuals from entering the property; Conduct regular security patrols and document observations and concerns; Monitor security cameras, alarms, communication systems, and other security equipment; Identify and report suspicious activity, property damage, security hazards, and security vulnerabilities; Maintain a professional presence within the facility and respond appropriately to resident concerns or security-related situations. Valid Security Guard Certification; Previous experience in Security, Protective Services, Law Enforcement, Emergency Response, or a related field is considered an asset; Experience working with vulnerable populations is considered an asset; Experience working for a not-for-profit organization and Indigenous community is an asset; Knowledge of Red River Métis culture, and MMF programs and services is a definite asset; Ability to travel, valid Manitoba Driver's license with access to a reliable vehicle.
