Job Summary

The Lumber Yard Worker supports daily yard operations by preparing, moving, and organizing lumber and related materials. This hands-on role combines order fulfillment, equipment use, and shipping and receiving to help keep materials accessible and customer orders moving accurately.

Responsibilities

- Pick and stage orders using an order picker, following order details and warehouse management system records.
- Load and unload lumber for storage, shipment, or pickup; handle heavy lifting safely and keep materials organized.
- Operate forklifts, clamp trucks, cranes, and other heavy equipment as appropriate to assigned tasks.
- Assist with warehouse distribution, shipping and receiving, and routine equipment checks using practical mechanical knowledge.
- Your impact: Accurate, timely order preparation helps colleagues coordinate deliveries and customers receive the materials they need.

Skills

Required:



Practical order-picking, load-and-unload, and material-handling capabilities, including protected heavy lifting and attention to order details. Mechanical knowledge and the ability to use warehouse management system information support accurate, organized work.

Preferred: Warehouse experience, including warehouse distribution and shipping and receiving, is helpful. Familiarity with order pickers, forklifts, cranes, clamp trucks, heavy equipment operation, or construction environments can support effective yard operations.

Pay: $140.00-$220.00 per day
