A family is looking for a reliable, caring, and experienced French-speaking nanny to help care for their two children, ages 5.5 years and 7 months, in their home.
The position will start as part-time, with the possibility of becoming full-time in March.
Work Location
- Near Broadview Avenue & Danforth Avenue, Toronto
- Candidates must be able to reliably commute to this location for all scheduled shifts.
Schedule & Hours
- 2 to 3 weekdays per week
- Approximately 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM
- May become full time starting in March
- The family hopes to find someone by the end of November and have them working regularly by January
Pay
- $23/hour
French is required for this position. The family's daughter attends a French school, and they would also like their younger child to learn French as a second language.
Responsibilities
- Care for a 7-month-old baby and a 5.5-year-old child
- Play, read, and do activities with the children
- Help with feeding, naps, and daily routines
- Prepare simple meals and snacks when needed
- Help with laundry
- Do light household cleaning and tidying
- Keep the children safe and well cared for
Who We Are Looking For
We are looking for someone who:
- Has conversational French skills
- Can reliably commute to Broadview & Danforth in Toronto
- Has previous childcare experience, especially with infants
- Is comfortable caring for children independently
- Is reliable, patient, and caring
- Is comfortable helping with laundry and light cleaning
- Can communicate clearly in English
- Is legally allowed to work in Canada
- Has a Vulnerable Sector Check or is willing to get one
First Aid and CPR certification are an asset.
