We are looking for an Estimator for our branch in Mississauga, ON to support business growth by preparing accurate project estimates, supporting the tendering process, and working closely with clients, suppliers, and internal teams to help secure and successfully transition projects. This role collaborates closely with local and national teams to build strong, long-term client relationships, deliver tailored solutions, promote our company’s brand, and contribute to overall business development initiatives.

Main Responsibilities:

Estimating & Pre‑Construction

- Review and analyze construction drawings, specifications, scopes of work, and bid documents
- Perform detailed take‑offs for labor, materials, and equipment
- Prepare accurate cost estimates for bids, tenders, and change orders
- Develop pricing strategies that balance competitiveness with profitability
- Solicit and review supplier and vendor quotes
- Identify risks, exclusions, and assumptions within estimates

Coordination & Communication





- Communicate with general contractors, consultants, and suppliers during the bidding process
- Clarify scope items, pricing, and timelines with internal teams
- Support project managers with budget handover and job costing details
- Participate in pre‑bid meetings and site visits when required

Documentation & Reporting

- Maintain organized records of estimates, take‑offs, and supporting documentation
- Track bid results and maintain historical cost data

Required Experience, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

- 3-5 years of previous estimating experience in construction, facilities maintenance, or a related industry
- Ability to work independently
- Ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications
- Robust communication and relationship-building skills
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple estimates/projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with estimating software is an asset.
