We are looking for Part Time Shunt Truck Drivers to join our growing team in Calgary AB. 2-3 nights a week based on your availiability.

· Shuttle containers and chassis to and from tracks within our private rail yard.

· Conduct thorough inspections of containers and chassis for any signs of damage and report findings accordingly.

· Handle inter box connectors (IBCs) on containers and railcars, ensuring proper placement and removal.

· Lock and unlock containers from chassis and railcars, and communicate any issues to the Toplift Operator.

· Safely operate shunt trucks in confined spaces within the yard.

· Update inventory records using specialized computer software (Oasis).

· Maintain accurate fuel records for the company fleet and report fuel consumption and temperatures for perishable loads.

· Complete detailed pre-trip analyses of yard equipment using tablets.

· Perform physical duties as required, including standing, bending, lifting, and climbing on railcars.

· Adhere to all safety procedures and regulations.

· Perform any additional duties as assigned.





· Fulfill Groundsperson duties when required.

· Apply, remove, and assist with the identification of Blue Signal and derail track protection.

· Carefully handle IBCs (inter box connectors) on railcars, including unlocking/locking containers

Requirements

- Must have a valid class 5 driver’s license
- Flexibility to work different shifts within a 24/7 operation
- Ability to work safely within a team to meet tight deadlines
- Ability to work in the outdoors in all types of elements
- Steel toe boots with an 8” rise
- Must be able to pass company paid for pre-employment screening test and background check as this is a safety sensitive position

Job Types: Full time, Permanent

Pay: Up to $26.36 per hour
