Position: Part time / Contract

Schedule: One dedicated onsite day per week (approximately 8 hours)

Compensation: $40–$50 per hour, depending on relevant experience, education and professional qualifications.

Experience Required: Minimum 4–5 years of professional counselling experience, preferably involving addiction, trauma and mental health.

Who We're Looking For

We are seeking a qualified professional with credentials such as:

- Licensed Counselling Therapist (LCT) Master of Social Work (MSW), with appropriate professional registration and clinical experience
- Certified Canadian Addiction Counsellor (CCAC), with relevant training and experience within their professional scope
- Our ideal candidate will have: A minimum of 4–5 years of professional counselling experience.
- A strong understanding of addiction, recovery and relapse prevention. Demonstrated experience providing trauma-informed care and supporting individuals living with PTSD.
- Knowledge of how unresolved trauma, emotional challenges and substance use disorders intersect. Training or experience in evidence-based trauma therapies such as EMDR, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) or Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) would be considered a strong asset.
- A compassionate, nonjudgmental approach that creates a safe environment for healing. Strong communication, documentation and clinical assessment skills.
- A genuine desire to work collaboratively with our existing recovery team to help clients achieve lasting change.

*Professional references will be required, including a reference from a current or previous clinical supervisor.





What Would a Typical Day Look Like?

We believe in providing our clients with consistent, meaningful therapeutic support while creating an environment where our clinical professionals can do their best work.

An example of our proposed 8-hour onsite schedule:

- 5 Hours — Individual Therapy Sessions
- Provide confidential, one-on-one therapeutic support to approximately five clients, focusing on trauma, PTSD, emotional regulation, addiction recovery and the underlying challenges contributing to substance use.
- 1 Hour — Clinical Documentation & Treatment Planning
- Complete clinical notes, assessments, individualized treatment recommendations and ongoing progress evaluations.
- 1 Hour — Clinical Collaboration & Case Consultations
- Work alongside our existing addiction counsellors and recovery team to discuss client progress, identify emerging concerns and strengthen individualized recovery plans, while respecting client confidentiality and consent.1 Hour — Group Therapy or Clinical Assessments
- Facilitate a therapeutic group session, complete client assessments or provide additional clinical support based on the evolving needs of our residents. This schedule is intended as a flexible example of our expectations.



Actual clinical scheduling will be developed collaboratively to support appropriate client care, professional standards and the therapist's clinical judgment.
