The contract is located on Hwy 104 between Exits 8 and 10 in Londonderry .This position is for the Cobequid Pass Rest Area along the Highway. It is a 4 day on 4 day off rotation. The shift is 6:00 am to 6:00 pm. Starting wage is $18.75/hour with the wage increasing after a 3 month probationary period( dependent on work performance and no time missed). Looking to hire immediately. Must be comfortable traveling in the winter months; the weather changes quickly in this area)
Responsibilities:
- Perform commercial cleaning duties in a Public Rest Stop setting including common areas as well as restrooms and outdoor garbage.
- Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors
- Dust and wipe down surfaces
- Clean and sanitize restrooms
- Empty trash receptacles and replace liners
-Clean windows
- Restock supplies as needed
-Sweep parking lot walkways and parking area throughout the shift as well as picking up any garbage that is in the parking lot area.
-Take note of supplies that need to be ordered.
Skills:
- Experience in commercial cleaning is not necessary; we are willing to train the right person
- Attention to detail and thoroughness in cleaning tasks
- Ability to work independently and efficiently
- Positive time management skills to complete tasks within designated timeframes
Note: Must have a valid driver license to get to and from the contract. Clean criminal record/background check needed if hired. Steel toe safety sneakers are mandatory at this contract. WHMIS is required; if you do not currently have it we will provide you with the online course to complete.
