Licensed Industrial Millwright (433A)

Pay: $28.00–$42.00 per hour, based on experience

Position Summary

We are looking for a skilled and dependable Licensed Industrial Millwright (433A) preferred to join our manufacturing team in Erin, Ontario.

This is a full-time, permanent day-shift position, working Monday to Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting and repairing production machinery and facility equipment to help ensure safe, reliable and efficient operations. This is a hands-on position suited to someone who enjoys troubleshooting, problem solving and taking ownership of equipment maintenance in a manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

- Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on production machinery and facility equipment. Inspect machinery and equipment to identify potential problems before failures occur.
- Troubleshoot mechanical equipment failures and determine appropriate repairs on the following equipment; gear boxes, servo drives, automatic nailing machines, rotating equipment, shrink wrap ovens, drop sealers, compressors, chillers, plastic injection mould machine (hoppers, granulators, vacuum systems).
- Respond to equipment breakdowns quickly & efficiently and work to minimize production downtime.
- Repair and maintain mechanical and pneumatic systems.
- Install, align, dismantle and move industrial machinery and equipment as required.
- Repair and replace bearings, gearboxes, motors, pumps, conveyors and other mechanical components.
- Perform welding and fabrication as required (Mig welding only).
- Read and interpret equipment manuals, mechanical drawings, blueprints and schematics.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repairs performed.
- Assist with identifying and sourcing required replacement parts and materials.
- Work with production staff, contractors and equipment suppliers as required.




- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Follow all company health and safety procedures, including lockout/tagout requirements.
- Identify opportunities to improve equipment reliability, safety and efficiency.
- Perform other maintenance duties as required.

Qualifications

Required:

- Previous industrial maintenance experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong mechanical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Experience working with mechanical and pneumatic systems.
- Ability to read mechanical drawings, manuals and schematics. Competent with measuring devices – micrometer, verniers (metric & imperial)
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team to prioritize repairs in a production environment.
- Strong commitment to workplace health and safety.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.

Assets:

- Valid Ontario Industrial Mechanic (Millwright) 433A licence.
- Electrical troubleshooting experience – use of multi meter, trace wiring faults
- Welding and fabrication experience.
- Experience with preventative maintenance programs.
