About Us WA-BAGEL is a Japanese-style bagel bakery in downtown Vancouver and a proud member of the Aburi Restaurants Group. We specialize in unforgettably chewy bagels crafted with natural fermentation and our house-made Koji sourdough, alongside classic Japanese breads like Melon Pan and Curry Pan.

What You Will Do & Training This role is the perfect stepping stone for aspiring bakers or anyone looking to experience a professional artisan bakery environment. No prior experience is required—we provide hands-on training.

- Assist bakers with dividing, shaping, and baking bagels and seasonal breads.
- Prepare and portion ingredients and fillings for daily production.
- Wash equipment, clean workstations, and maintain a highly organized, food-safe environment.

Qualifications

- No prior baking experience required; a positive attitude and willingness to learn are key.
- Must be available weekdays from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM, and approximately 1-2 weekend shifts per month.
- Able to work safely and efficiently in a physical, fast-paced environment.
- Legally authorized to work in Canada.

Position Details & Perks

- Location: 666 Burrard Street, Vancouver, BC.
- Schedule: Part-time (20–30 hours per week). Mandatory availability: Weekdays 12:00 PM – 4:00 PM, plus 1-2 weekend shifts per month.
- Compensation: $18.50 – $20.00/hour plus tips after probation.
