Accounts Receivable-Permanent Full Time

Job Summary: This position is responsible for the full cycle of Accounts Receivable functions. It is a high volume role requiring a high level of attention to detail and the ability to meet strict timelines. The Accounts Receivable Specialist plays an integral part in supporting and assisting the Accounting Department in achieving their business objectives.

Responsibilities:

- Process accounts receivables and incoming payments, discounts, deductions in compliance with financial policies and procedures
- Perform reconciliation of payments posted against bank information to ensure accuracy and completeness
- Handle account inquiries to provide pertinent information to facilitate payment and/or resolve discrepancies
- Make collection calls and send emails to ensure on-time payments from customers
- Prepare daily bank deposits
- Perform A/R month-end closing and reconciliation




- Obtain trade reference for new account credit application
- Assist with audit requests
- Assist the finance team on other ad hoc projects as required

Qualifications:

- 1 to 3 years of full cycle Accounts Receivable experience
- Accounting diploma and/or an equivalent combination of education and experience in Accounts Receivable
- Positive attitude and team work
- Excellent communication skills and attention to details
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Ability to work well under pressure, adjust to changing priorities and capable of meeting tight timelines
- Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
