We are looking for experienced line cooks for our client in Waterloo Region.

Our ideal candidate would love a fast paced environment and a willingness to learn.

This is a full-time position starting next week effectively. Must be available for early morning starts

Payrate:

- From $18-$21/hour

Job Duties:

- Cleans food preparation areas as determined by law and company policy
- Create meals according to plan.
- Prepares foods to the specifications of the client.
- Prepares food before the arrival of guests.
- Makes adjustments to food items to accommodate guests with allergies or specific diet concerns.
- Seasons food according to recipes or company needs
- Operates various kitchen appliances.
- Portions, arranges, and garnishes food based on client preference.
- Assists other cooks during the food assembly process.
- Estimates expected food consumption and organize preparation
- Prepares any necessary sauces or accompaniments before meal service begins

Requirements:

- Speak English, Read English, Write English
- 3+ years’ experience as a cook in a full-service setting




- Experience leading a team
- Must be adaptable in shift timings
- Must be willing and able to work weekends
- Maintain a professional appearance at all times
- Strong communication skills
- Strong knowledge of proper food handling and sanitation standards
- Excellent attention to detail and well developed organizational skills
- Strong work ethic with an ability to work independently and in a team environment.

Licence/Certification:

- Food Safe, SafeCheck, Food Handler or equivalent (preferred)
