FREIGHT SENSE
Mississauga
We are looking for an Operations Coordinator who wants to learn freight forwarding, take ownership of their work, and build a career with our company.
This role requires strong organization, clear communication, and consistent follow-through. You will coordinate shipment documentation, track orders, communicate with clients and vendors, and help keep daily operations moving.
We will invest time in teaching you the business. We expect you to invest effort in learning it.
What We Expect
Take ownership. Know what needs to be done, follow through, and keep people informed. If something cannot be completed on time, communicate early and arrange a clear handoff. Unfinished work should never become someone else’s surprise.
Ask questions. We do not expect you to know everything. We do expect you to speak up when you are unsure, take notes, and apply what you learn.
Be accountable. Mistakes happen, especially when learning. Own them, help correct them, and take steps to prevent them from happening again. Repeated mistakes without improvement are a concern.
Manage your priorities. Freight forwarding involves deadlines, changing information, and multiple shipments moving at once. You need to stay organized, follow up consistently, and recognize when something needs immediate attention.
Communicate directly and professionally. Answer the phone, respond to emails, and make sure the people relying on you have accurate information. If you see a problem, raise it.
Earn greater responsibility. Advancement comes from demonstrated ability, sound judgment, and consistent performance. Everyone is held to the same standards. As your contribution and responsibilities grow,
we believe your compensation should grow with them.
We value people who are approachable, work well with others, and can accept feedback without becoming defensive. We take the work seriously and enjoy working together.
