Snow Removal Crew Lead

Clintar Landscape Management is hiring experienced and dependable Snow Removal Crew Leads for the upcoming winter season. The Crew Lead will supervise a snow-removal crew and ensure assigned commercial properties are serviced safely, efficiently and according to company standards.

Duties and Responsibilities

- Lead and supervise Crew Members during snow and ice events
- Availability to work on-call shifts (days/nights/weekends/holidays)
- Operate a 4x4 truck with crew
- Assign duties and provide clear instructions to team members
- Transparent and pile snow in designated and approved areas
- Continuously monitor weather conditions and storm events, including snow, freezing rain, and hail, and maintain regular communication with supervisors to prepare for on-call shifts.
- Ensure sidewalks, entrances, walkways and other assigned areas are properly cleared and salted
- Monitor weather conditions and respond promptly when called for a shift
- Follow assigned routes and schedules to ensure timely service
- Communicate site progress, delays and concerns to supervisors
- Confirm that work is completed safely and to company standards
- Operate snow-removal equipment when trained and authorized
- Operate commercial trucks when properly licensed and authorized
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles and equipment
- Report equipment damage, property damage, hazards and maintenance concerns immediately
- Ensure Crew Members wear the required personal protective equipment




- Follow and enforce all company health and safety procedures
- Accurately record employee hours, job details and completed services
- Use LMN to clock in and out, manage crew time and document services as required

Requirements

- Previous snow-removal, experience preferredExperience with snowblowers, snowrators salt application, and other snow removal equipment
- Previous supervisory or team-lead experience is an asset
- Valid Ontario driver’s licence with a clean driver’s abstract
- Reliable transportation to and from work
- Strong communication, leadership and organizational skills
- Ability to lead a team in fast-paced winter conditions
- Ability to perform physically demanding outdoor work
- Comfortable working in cold, snowy and icy conditions
- Must be available 24/7 on call during snow and ice events, including overnight shifts, weekends and holidays
- Must be dependable, punctual and able to respond promptly when called
- Ability to use a smartphone and mobile timekeeping applications
