Khun Khun Orchards is seeking two reliable and hardworking Fruit Farm Labourers for full time, year-round employment at various orchard locations in Kelowna, British Columbia.

This position involves a wide range of agricultural duties associated with growing, maintaining and harvesting fruit crops, primarily apples and cherries.

Successful applicants must be physically capable of performing demanding outdoor work and willing to undertake various responsibilities throughout the year, depending on seasonal requirements and orchard operations.

Responsibilities and Duties

- Plant, cultivate, maintain and harvest fruit crops, including apples and cherries.
- Prune, thin and train fruit trees to promote healthy growth and fruit production.
- Remove unwanted shoots, suckers, water sprouts and excess vegetation.
- Assist with the installation, operation, monitoring, maintenance and repair of orchard irrigation systems.
- Apply fertilizers and assist with routine crop-care activities.
- Operate hand tools, power tools and farm machinery as required, with appropriate training.
- Assist with maintaining and cleaning farm machinery, equipment and tools.
- Perform general orchard maintenance, including weeding, brush removal, debris collection and cleanup.
- Assist with planting, securing and supporting young trees.
- Pick, sort and handle harvested fruit while maintaining appropriate quality standards.
- Load, unload, move and organize orchard bins, equipment, supplies and harvested produce.
- Perform other general agricultural labour duties as required to support year-round orchard operations.

Qualifications and Requirements

- No formal education, degree or certification required.
- Previous orchard, agricultural or fruit-harvesting experience is an asset but is not mandatory.
- Ability to perform physically demanding and repetitive work.
- Ability to lift and handle loads weighing up to 23 kg (50 lbs).




- Ability to work independently and cooperatively with other employees.
- Willingness to learn new agricultural tasks and follow instructions.
- Ability to communicate in English.
- Reliable transportation to various orchard work locations.
- Dependable, punctual and committed to safe working practices.

Work Environment and Physical Requirements

- Work is performed on-site at various orchard locations in Kelowna, BC.
- Regular exposure to outdoor weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain and wet environments.
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, crouching, kneeling, lifting and repetitive movements.
- Physical work involving orchard equipment, hand tools and agricultural machinery.

Work Schedule and Availability

This position requires flexibility in working hours due to the seasonal nature of agricultural operations.

Applicants must be willing and able to work:

- Early mornings
- Daytime shifts
- Evening shifts
- Night shifts, particularly during cherry harvest
- Weekends
- Variable schedules based on operational requirements

Work schedules may change on short notice depending on weather conditions, crop requirements, harvest timing and other agricultural operations.

Applicants must understand that this position does not follow a fixed Monday-to-Friday, 9-to-5 schedule.
