Overview

The Auto Body Technician repairs and restores vehicle body components, helping return vehicles to safe, functional condition and supporting a smooth repair process. This hands-on role uses automotive repair knowledge, mechanical understanding, and appropriate tools to complete work carefully and efficiently. This is a flat rate position starting at $35 per hour.

Duties

- Inspect vehicle body damage and identify repair needs, using mechanical knowledge to guide the work.
- Perform automotive repair tasks with hand tools and power tools, following established shop procedures.
- Lift and position parts or materials as needed, using safe handling practices during repairs.
- Keep work areas and tools organized, and communicate repair progress or concerns to colleagues.

Requirements

Required: Practical mechanical knowledge, familiarity with hand tools and power tools, ability to perform automotive repair tasks, and capacity to handle heavy lifting safely are important for this hands-on work. Red Seal preferred, but apprentices of all levels are welcome to apply.

Pay: From $35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
