Job Summary

The Safety and Compliance Coordinator supports safe, consistent operations by helping teams follow applicable workplace procedures and compliance practices. This role contributes to a culture of prevention through clear communication, practical coordination, and ongoing learning in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

- Coordinate routine safety and compliance activities, track follow-up actions, and maintain transparent, accurate records.
- Help review workplace practices, identify potential concerns, and share findings with relevant colleagues.
- Must have knowledge of driver logbooks, Hours of Service (HOS) regulations, and ELD compliance.
- Handle the complete driver hiring process, including document collection, file preparation, and onboarding.
- Manage permits, vehicle registrations, licence plates, and other transportation-related documentation.
- Maintain and organize all driver, truck, trailer, safety, and compliance files.
- Prepare and file IFTA reports and maintain accurate fuel records.
- Perform fuel card and fuel transaction matching with driver, unit, and trip records.
- Review fuel purchases,



identify discrepancies, and follow up on missing receipts or incorrect transactions.
- Maintain records of mileage, fuel consumption, and jurisdictional travel for IFTA reporting.
- Ensure all required permits, licences, certificates, and other documents are valid and up to date.
- Assist with audits, inspections, and other regulatory compliance requirements.

Requirements

Required: Strong communication, organization, attention to detail, and basic computer skills to coordinate activities, document follow-up, and share guidance effectively. Preferred: Familiarity with manufacturing environments and experience supporting safety, compliance, or training and development activities; these strengths can help you contribute to practical learning and consistent workplace practices.
