The Guelph Estate Convention Centre & Banquet Hall – Guelph, ON

We are looking for reliable, hardworking, and dedicated individuals to join our banquet hall team!

We are currently hiring for part-time positions to support weddings, parties, corporate events, and other functions.

Banquet Hall Cleaner & Dishwasher

Main Responsibilities:

- Sweep and mop banquet hall floors before, during, and after events.
- Clean and sanitize washrooms, including toilets, sinks, mirrors, and floors.
- Wash dishes, plates, glasses, cutlery, trays, and kitchen utensils.
- Operate commercial dishwashing equipment.
- Clean kitchen floors, dishwashing areas, and service stations.
- Empty garbage bins, replace garbage bags, and dispose of waste.
- Vacuum carpets and clean hallways, lobby, and other areas.
- Clean tables, counters, and surfaces.
- Perform general cleaning and deep cleaning after events.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene throughout the facility.

Important: This position involves regular washroom cleaning, sweeping, mopping, dishwashing, and garbage removal. Applicants must be willing and comfortable performing all these duties.

Banquet Hall Setup Staff & Food Runner

Main Responsibilities:

- Set up and arrange tables, chairs, stages, linens, and event equipment.
- Move tables and chairs according to event floor plans.
- Prepare banquet halls before events.
- Set up buffet stations and food service areas.
- Transport food from the kitchen to buffet and service areas.




- Assist with replenishing food during events.
- Support servers and kitchen staff when required.
- Transparent used plates, glasses, and cutlery from tables.
- Assist with event teardown and cleanup.
- Return tables, chairs, and equipment to storage.
- Follow instructions from the Event Coordinator or Manager.

Important: This is a physically active position requiring lifting, moving furniture, standing for long periods, and assisting with event operations.

General Requirements

- Reliable, punctual, and hardworking.
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Physically capable of standing, walking, bending, and lifting for extended periods.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willing to follow instructions and assist when needed.
- Previous experience in banquet halls, restaurants, catering, cleaning, or hospitality is an asset.
- Must be available for evenings, weekends, and late-night shifts.
- Flexible availability based on event schedules.
