Job Overview

- The Meat Packer prepares, handles, and packages meat products in a food-processing or manufacturing environment.
- This hands-on role supports efficient production while maintaining product quality, cleanliness, and food safety standards.
- Work takes place in a temperature-controlled facility and may involve standing for extended periods, repetitive tasks, and handling packaged products.

Duties

- Package, label, and prepare meat products for storage or shipment according to production specifications.
- Assist with meat cutting and other food-processing tasks as trained.
- Inspect products and packaging for quality, accuracy, and visible defects.
- Follow food safety, sanitation, and hygiene procedures, including cleaning work areas and equipment.
- Operate packaging tools and production equipment safely; report equipment issues and assist with basic troubleshooting as appropriate.
- Maintain an organized workstation and follow workplace safety procedures.




- Work collaboratively with production and quality teams to meet daily workflow requirements.

Experience

- Previous experience in packaging, manufacturing, the food industry, or food processing is helpful but not required.
- Experience with butchery or meat cutting is an advantage.
- Mechanical knowledge and familiarity with production equipment are beneficial.
- Ability to follow instructions, work carefully, and perform repetitive tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Commitment to sanitation, food safety, and safe handling practices is essential.
- Must be able to meet the physical demands of the role, which may include prolonged standing and lifting or moving product as required.

Pay: $17.95 per hour
