Two Nice Guys I.D.A. Pharmacy is an award-winning pharmacy team recognized for excellence in community service and collaborative care in Kelowna. We are seeking a dedicated, compassionate Health Care Aide (HCA) to join our team to visit clients in their homes and assist with community medication administration and client witnessing.

Schedule & Availability Requirements:

This position requires a fixed weekly schedule to support critical client medication routines (including morning insulin and evening witnessing):

- Mandatory Saturday Split Shift: 7:30 AM – 11:30 AM and 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM
- Evening Shift(s): 1 to 2 weekday evenings per week (5:00 PM start, ~3 hours per shift)
- Preference will be given to candidates with open availability.

Key Responsibilities:

- Home Visits: Visit clients in their residences to provide medication assistance and routine care tasks across Kelowna routes.
- Medication Administration: Administer or assist with medications as delegated (oral medications, eye drops, ointments, inhalers, PRN medications, topicals, and delegated insulin injections).
- Assessments: Perform routine monitoring, including blood glucose and blood pressure checks.
- Care Coordination: Deliver medications to residential support workers, follow up on compliance, and collaborate closely with support staff, LPNs, family members, and the pharmacy team.
- Client Observation: Observe, document, and report changes in client condition or behavior, particularly for individuals with mental health or substance use disorders.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate, up-to-date daily records and submit reports to the supervising nurse/pharmacist.
- Perks of the Role: NO assistance with personal care or ADLs required.



NO night shifts.

Mandatory Requirements:

- Certification: Successful completion of a recognized Health Care Aide program.
- Registry: Active registration on the BC Care Aide & Community Health Worker Registry.
- Training & First Aid: Medication Administration training/certification, plus current First Aid and CPR certification.
- Driver’s License & Vehicle: Valid BC Class 5 Driver's License with consistent access to a reliable personal vehicle and adequate insurance coverage.
- Background Check: Transparent Criminal Record Check (Vulnerable Sector) required upon offer of employment.
