Overview

Hiring seasonal staff to Support three food huts at the Shipyards Christmas Market, serving chili, baked goods, and pre-packaged desserts. Help create a welcoming, organized experience for market visitors through attentive service and careful food handling. Report to hut leaders.

Duties

- Prepare and serve food, keep displays and work areas clean, and follow protected food-handling and sanitation practices.
- Welcome customers, answer questions, process orders using POS systems, and handle cash accurately.
- Use basic math and time management to support transactions, restock items, and keep service moving during busy periods.
- Suggest suitable additional items when helpful and coordinate with coworkers to maintain smooth hut operations.

Requirements

Required: Practical food preparation, food handling, food safety, sanitation, customer service, cashiering, cash handling, basic math, and time management skills are important for serving customers and maintaining clean, accurate operations. Preferred: Food service, restaurant, kitchen, or food industry experience; familiarity with POS or Micros POS systems, serving, and thoughtful upselling can help you contribute confidently across the huts.

Pay: $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 8.0 per week
