Job Summary:

The Senior Data Architect/Modeller is responsible for developing and implementing robust data architectures and models to support complex, distributed application environments. This role involves analyzing existing data models, designing logical data specifications for target systems, and collaborating with business and technical teams to ensure comprehensive data coverage and alignment with enterprise standards.

Responsibilities:

- Develop and implement data architecture for application development in complex distributed systems.
- Review and analyze existing data models for source applications and databases.
- Design and develop logical data model specifications for target systems.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to ensure data needs are met for target systems.
- Support development teams by creating and reviewing technical artifacts related to data modeling.
- Ensure data models comply with corporate policies, standards, and industry best practices.
- Engage with multi-functional teams including Business Analysts, SMEs, Developers, and Architects.
- Conduct research to align data modeling practices with current IT trends and enterprise standards.

Required Skills:
- 8+ years of experience in data architecture and modeling, including analysis of business needs and IT applications.
- Expertise in designing logical and physical data models and developing data mappings for source and target systems.
- Solid knowledge of relational databases and SQL for data analysis and validation.
- Proficient in using data modeling tools and techniques.




- Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively within cross-functional teams.
- Strong analytical skills with experience in research and data analysis.
- Knowledge of enterprise data modeling standards and integration with IT policies.

Desired Skills:
- Experience with MECP environmental applications related to inspections, compliance, enforcement, and hazardous waste management.
- Familiarity with Computer Aided Software Engineering (CASE) tools.
- Experience using Python for data processing tasks.
- Understanding of Information Management principles, policies, and practices.
- Knowledge of Parquet and Delta-Lake data formats.
- Experience with Azure Data Lakehouses and data modeling schemas such as Star schema and Snowflake.
