Senior QA Backend Automation & Data Testing

Overview

Seeking a technical Senior QA Engineer for a backend-focused role involving high-volume trade simulation, data integrity and cloud data pipeline testing. The role requires strong Python programming, advanced SQL and hands-on automation experience.

Responsibilities

- Develop Python automation frameworks using Pytest and Requests to simulate thousands of real-time trades and stress-test trading platforms.
- Validate ETL/ELT pipelines in AWS, identifying data loss, transformation errors and data-quality issues.
- Write advanced SQL queries to validate accuracy, consistency and completeness across MySQL, Snowflake and Hive.
- Identify performance bottlenecks and collaborate with developers to improve system behavior under high transaction volumes.
- Investigate failures across services, REST APIs and database procedures.




- Support planned releases outside business hours and resolve ad hoc operational issues.

Required Qualifications

- 5+ years of software QA experience, focused on data testing and backend automation.
- Ability to write Python code from scratch for test-data generation, API mocking and traffic simulation.
- Advanced SQL skills, including complex joins and window functions.
- Experience testing cloud data pipelines; AWS experience preferred.
- Solid REST API testing and automation experience.
- Experience with performance and load testing for high-volume transactions.
- French language capability.

Preferred Qualifications

- Capital-markets knowledge, including equities, trade lifecycles and financial instruments.
- Experience with Hadoop, Spark or Hive.
- Linux shell scripting.
