JL’s Tree Service is looking for an experienced Arborist / Climbing Arborist to join our growing team.

We’re looking for someone who already has a solid foundation in tree care and takes pride in safe, skilled, quality work. Someone who works well with a crew, takes care of their equipment, and is always interested in becoming better at their craft.

You’ll work on a variety of projects—from pruning and tree care to technical removals and storm work—alongside an experienced team with skilled equipment and a strong focus on safety.

What You’ll Do

- Perform tree pruning, removals, and general tree-care operations
- Climb and perform aerial work using appropriate techniques and equipment
- Use chainsaws, rigging systems, aerial lifts, chippers, and other tree-care equipment
- Identify hazards and contribute to safe job planning
- Care for and maintain tools, climbing gear, trucks, and equipment
- Work closely with the ground crew to keep jobs moving safely and efficiently
- Communicate professionally with customers when needed
- Share your knowledge and help less-experienced crew members develop their skills

We’re Looking For Someone Who:

- Has previous professional tree-care and climbing experience
- Has strong knowledge of safe climbing, rigging, pruning, and removal practices
- Takes pride in doing quality work
- Works well as part of a crew and contributes to a positive jobsite




- Is safety-minded and comfortable making good decisions in the field
- Takes initiative and can work independently when needed
- Wants to continue learning and developing within the industry
- Has a valid driver’s licence

ISA Certification, Ontario Arborist training, DZ/AZ licensing, First Aid, Working at Heights, and other industry certifications are strong assets.

Pay: $25.00-$30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35.0 – 45.0 per week
