Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and experienced Long Haul Truck Driver to join our transportation team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely transporting freight over long distances, ensuring timely deliveries, and maintaining compliance with all safety regulations. This role offers an prospect to work independently while contributing to the efficient movement of goods across regions. A strong focus on safety, professionalism, and attention to detail is essential for success in this position.

Duties

- Operate commercial trucks to transport freight across various routes, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Load and unload freight using forklifts or other heavy equipment as needed, ensuring proper handling and securing of cargo.
- Inspect vehicles before and after trips to ensure mechanical soundness and report any issues requiring repair or maintenance.
- Perform basic automotive repairs or troubleshooting to address minor mechanical problems during transit or at terminals.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, fuel consumption, and vehicle maintenance logs.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, clients, and team members regarding delivery schedules and any issues encountered during transit.




- Follow safety protocols related to heavy equipment operation and freight handling to prevent accidents or damage.
- Assist with warehouse operations when not on the road, including freight loading/unloading and inventory management.

Skills

- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Experience operating heavy equipment such as forklifts for loading and unloading freight.
- Knowledge of freight handling procedures and safety standards for long-distance transportation.
- Basic automotive repair skills for troubleshooting mechanical issues en route or at terminals.
- Ability to operate heavy machinery safely and efficiently in various environments.
- Strong organizational skills for managing delivery schedules, documentation, and vehicle maintenance logs.
- Excellent communication skills for coordinating with dispatchers, clients, and team members.
- Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy loads (up to 50 pounds) when necessary.

Pay: $29.10-$35.26 per hour

Expected hours: 60.0 per week
