Job Summary

The Payroll Administrator will work closely with internal teams across payroll, perks, finance, HR, IT, managers, and employees. The role offers exposure to large-scale payroll processing, unionized payroll requirements, payroll systems, reporting, and process enhancement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

- Process accurate and timely bi-weekly payroll for a large employee group, including approvals, reporting, reconciliations, and deadline management.
- Maintain payroll records, source documents, and internal control procedures in accordance with established standards and compliance requirements.
- Reconcile payroll-related reporting, including T-slips, EI rebate, WCB assessment, CRA reporting, Records of Employment, garnishments,



retroactive adjustments, and group plan administration.
- Analyze payroll system capabilities and limitations, identify process improvements, and support initiatives to reduce manual entry and improve accuracy.
- Test payroll and financial system changes, provide feedback on upgrades, and support PeopleSoft Payroll and JD Edwards processes.
- Respond to payroll inquiries and collaborate with timekeepers, benefits, finance, HR, IT, managers, and employees on payroll procedures, documentation, and issue resolution.

Job Details:

- Pay rate: $44 to $55 per hour.
- Contract term: 6-month temporary contract with opportunity for extension.
- Work arrangement: 100% in office.
- Location: Lethbridge, AB
