Overview
We are seeking a skilled Forklift Operator for one of our client in Montreal,QC. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating various types of forklifts and heavy equipment to facilitate the movement of goods and materials. This role requires a strong attention to safety and efficiency, as well as the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
Duties
- Operate forklifts, including Counter balance, load and unload materials from trucks and storage areas.
- Perform order picking tasks to fulfill customer orders accurately and efficiently.
- Conduct regular inspections of equipment to ensure safety and proper functioning.
- Assist in building pallets and organizing inventory within the warehouse.
- Execute heavy lifting tasks as needed, ensuring compliance with safety protocols.
- Maintain a clean and organized work setting, adhering to all warehouse policies.
- Collaborate with team members to optimize workflow and productivity.
Qualifications
- Proven experience operating forklifts and heavy equipment in a warehouse setting.
- Familiarity with operating counterbalance, dock.
- Strong mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot minor equipment issues.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting tasks
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to safety standards.
- Solid communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Flexibility to work various shifts as required by the operational needs of the warehouse.
