The Automation Technician is responsible for the troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of mining Automation equipment and components according to defined specifications. The Automation Technician is also responsible for new Automation equipment commissioning and training at customer sites. A starting hourly rate of $46.50/hour, subject to the applicable terms and conditions. Planning for correct tools and parts required to perform tasks, according to all work procedures. Commissioning of Automation products that includes pre-delivery inspections and hot (operational and at customer site) commissioning. Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) to identify and solve common problems, as a first line support. Support the customer's product/equipment/processes by suggesting possible improvements. (Uses knowledge and experience to solve standard problems for customers. Understands Automation system functionality and interactions of mech Mech anical, electrical and automation materials.



Occasionally collect technical feedback in the Sales Area (inputted into Database). Red Seal Heavy Duty Electrician License. At least 3 years related experience with mining equipment is considered an asset. Previous experience with Sandvik equipment would be an asset. Excellent proficiency in reading electrical schematics. Demonstrated ability to diagnose, troubleshoot and repair electrical issues with mining equipment. Computer literacy (MS Office). Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to local mine sites and across Western Canada as required. Ability and willingness to work varied shifts (as required) Environmental Health and Safety Complete a risk assessment (Take 5) before each task. Maintain an orderly work area and meet housekeeping requirements. Attend required environmental, health, and safety training. Wear the personal protective equipment (PPE) required for each task.
