We are working with an independently owned small animal hospital in Vancouver, British Columbia, looking to welcome an Associate Veterinarian to its growing team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a veterinary surgeon looking to join a smaller, established team, with the flexibility to develop their clinical interests while enjoying an excellent work-life balance in one of Canada’s most desirable cities.

Both experienced veterinary surgeons and recent graduates are encouraged to apply, with mentorship and clinical support available.

The Practice

The clinic is a modern, independently owned small animal hospital providing comprehensive veterinary care to an established local client base.

The practice has a three-vet team, supported by a hospital manager and five additional team members across the wider clinical and administrative team.

With an emphasis on high-quality veterinary medicine, continuity of care and building long-term client relationships, the hospital offers a collaborative environment where vets can develop their skills and enjoy a wide-ranging first-opinion caseload.

The practice is well-equipped, with facilities including:

- Digital radiography
- Dental radiography
- Ultrasound
- In-house laboratory diagnostics
- Surgical facilities
- Dentistry and preventative healthcare services

The hospital provides a broad range of medical and surgical services for dogs and cats, with overnight emergencies referred externally.

The Role

The position offers a varied small animal caseload, combining consultations, medical investigations, routine surgery, dentistry and preventative healthcare.

You’ll have the opportunity to work alongside experienced colleagues, with mentorship available for those looking to build their confidence or develop particular clinical interests.





The hospital is open to both full time and part-time arrangements, with flexible scheduling to accommodate individual preferences.

Salary & Benefits

- CAD $120,000 to $180,000+ per annum, depending on experience, working arrangements and production
- Full-time or part-time opportunities

About You

Ideally, you’ll have:

- A recognised veterinary qualification (BVSc, BVetMed, DVM or equivalent)
- Current registration or eligibility for registration in British Columbia
- A good base of skills in first-opinion small animal medicine and surgery
- Good communication skills and a collaborative approach
- A commitment to providing excellent patient and client care
