Budget Officer Finance Department Full-time term until December 2027 Posting date: The Budget Officer plays a critical role within the Finance department and the College, providing essential support during the institution's Finance ERP upgrade. Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, this position collaborates closely with the Operations and Academic Budget Officers and the Financial Services Supervisor to ensure financial continuity and efficiency. In addition to covering core Budget Office functions, this position will actively contribute to the Finance ERP upgrade initiative by evaluating existing processes, identifying operational efficiencies, and documenting financial workflows to support a smooth transition. Provide support by assisting with financial planning, forecasting, and variance analysis during the ERP transition. Act as a backup for core Budget Officers, ensuring continuity in financial reporting, budget monitoring, and stakeholder support. Analyze financial data, identify trends, and provide insights to support decision-making. Collaborate with Finance and other departments to ensure a smooth transition to the new ERP system. Support the development of training materials and process documentation for post-ERP implementation. Degree or Diploma in Accounting, Finance or Business or a combination of education and experience equivalency.



Minimum three to four years of relevant or related experience in budgeting, accounting, and financial reporting. Experience working in a post-secondary institution or public sector is an asset. Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel, advanced spreadsheets and formula experience is preferred. Experience working in a post-secondary institution, public sector, or other complex organization is an asset.
