OTI Lumionics is developing advanced materials—by design—using quantum simulations, machine learning and real-world testing in pilot production. We are currently focused on key enabling materials for OLED displays that will be used in next-generation consumer electronics and automotive. Our advanced electrode materials, and associated manufacturing technology, are being used to build transparent displays and lighting. We work closely with our partners and customers to design current materials that are mass-production ready. Using our computational Materials Discovery Platform, we are able to rapidly iterate new materials, allowing fast turn around time to meet our customers’ needs. On-Site OTI Lumionics is seeking for an Analytical Lab Technician to join its Chemistry team. The Analytical Lab Technician will carry out QAQC activities using various analytical techniques, in accordance with SOPs, and heath & safety standards. Following SOP to perform sample preparation and testing, which may include but not limited to NMR, HPLC, TGA, DSC and GC analyses. Assist analytical chemists with calibration and maintenance of R&D; and/or production equipment and laboratory infrastructure. Assisting analytical chemists with data processing and report preparation. Executing material receiving, inspection, and release processes to ensure accuracy, traceability, and compliance with internal quality standards. Performing quality verification activities, including sampling of hazardous chemicals and confirmation of documentation, labeling, and specifications. Ensuring all materials are properly identified, cataloged, and documented within inventory and quality systems. Identifying,
investigating, and communicating discrepancies related to material condition, quantity, or documentation, working closely with production, laboratory, and logistics teams to resolve issues. Safely managing, handling, and storing highly hazardous chemicals in accordance with established procedures and regulatory requirements. Working comfortably in full-body personal protective equipment (PPE), including respirators, lab coats, and hearing protection, for extended periods as required by safety protocols. Supporting controlled material movement such as loading, unloading, staging, and internal transport with an emphasis on damage prevention, contamination control, and procedural compliance. Operating forklifts, pallet jacks, cranes, and other equipment as required, in accordance with training and safety standards. Maintaining accurate, high-integrity records through precise data entry and verification checks. Supporting additional operational or quality-related duties as assigned to ensure overall facility effectiveness. Ensuring compliance with environmental policies, procedures, and objectives, and actively participate in the identification and reduction of environmental impacts related to the role Post-Secondary Degree in Analytical Chemistry or Organic Chemistry with a minimum of 2 years of relevant industry experience. Excellent hands-on laboratory skills Experience working in an industrial analytical laboratory setting Ability to operate or willingness to learn to operate a forklift and/or other material handling equipment.
