Position Overview

The Restricted Auto Broker is responsible for delivering exceptional customer service while assisting clients with SGI Auto Fund products, services, and auto insurance policies. This role involves processing insurance transactions, advising clients on available coverage options, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring compliance with SGI policies and brokerage procedures. The ideal candidate is client-focused, detail-oriented, and committed to providing a positive customer experience.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide professional, friendly, and efficient service to clients in person, by phone, and by email.
- Assist clients with SGI Auto Fund products, policy inquiries, and coverage options within the scope of a Restricted Auto Licence.
- Process new policies, renewals, endorsements, cancellations, and other SGI policy transactions accurately and efficiently.
- Verify documentation and ensure compliance with SGI and brokerage requirements.
- Collect and process payments while maintaining accurate transaction records.
- Maintain client files and policy documentation using brokerage management systems.
- Support Motor License Issuers and assist with office operations as required.
- Participate in ongoing training and maintain current knowledge of SGI products, procedures, and industry changes.

Qualifications





- Restricted Auto Licence (or willingness and ability to obtain).
- Previous customer service, insurance, or client-facing experience.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience with SGI Auto Fund products and services.
- Experience using Applied Epic.
- Previous brokerage or auto insurance experience.
- Knowledge of SGI systems, processes, and regulations.
- Experience handling cash and processing client transactions.

Work Environment

This position is based in our Saskatoon head office. Occasional travel between office locations may be required. A valid driver's licence and access to a vehicle would be considered an asset.
