Position Overview

We are seeking a reliable and safety-conscious Baler Operator to support our daily recycling and yard operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating industrial baling equipment to compress and process recyclable materials efficiently and safely.

This role is essential to maintaining an organized yard, supporting material processing, and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations. The ideal candidate has experience operating industrial machinery, follows safety procedures, and enjoys working in a hands-on, industrial setting.

The wage range for this position is $24.00-$30.00 per hour, depending on skills and experience.

Key Responsibilities

- Operate baling equipment to compress and process recyclable materials safely and efficiently.

- Prepare, feed, and process materials through the baler in accordance with operational procedures.

- Monitor equipment during operation and identify any malfunctions or maintenance concerns.

- Perform pre-operational inspections and report equipment issues promptly.

- Handle, sort,



and organize materials to support efficient processing and yard operations.

- Maintain a clean, organized, and protected work area.

- Follow all company health and safety policies, procedures, and equipment operating guidelines.

- Work collaboratively with team members to meet daily production and operational targets.

- Perform other general yard duties as required.

Qualifications

- 3+ years experience operating an industrial baler or similar processing equipment is preferred.

- Experience in recycling, scrap metal processing, manufacturing, or a similar industrial environment is an asset.

- Strong understanding of workplace health and safety practices.

- Ability to recognize equipment issues and report maintenance concerns.

- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently and as part of a team.

- Comfortable working in an industrial yard environment and outdoors in varying weather conditions, as required.

- Physically capable of performing the duties associated with material handling and yard operations.

- Valid G-class driver's licence and reliable transportation.
