About the Role

We are looking for a technically capable and customer-focused Field Service Technician to join our service team.

Our technicians install, maintain, and troubleshoot a diverse range of proprietary technologies, including retail weighing systems, automatic wrappers and labelers, software and connected equipment, self-service solutions, and other specialized products.

This is a hands-on field position combining mechanical, electrical/electronic, software, and basic networking troubleshooting. We provide product-specific training and technical support and are looking for technicians who enjoy solving problems, learning new equipment, and continuously developing their technical capabilities.

What You Will Do

- Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain equipment, including mechanical, electrical/electronic, software, and connectivity-related issues.
- Install, configure, commission, and perform preventive maintenance on equipment.
- Manage assigned service work effectively to support customer uptime and complete required follow-up.
- Provide customer and end-user training on equipment operation and basic maintenance.
- Maintain accurate and timely service records, including work performed, parts used, unresolved issues, required follow-up, and final resolution.
- Maintain company-provided vehicle, tools, equipment, and service inventory in good working order.
- Provide remote technical support and assist other technicians or service activities when technical or operational assistance is required.
- Participate in product and technical training and maintain current knowledge of equipment and service procedures.
- Identify potential equipment, service,



or customer needs and communicate them to the appropriate internal team.
- Follow company and customer health and safety requirements while performing field-service activities.
- Represent the company professionally and maintain positive customer relationships.

What We Are Looking for

- Solid mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability.
- Basic electrical and electronic troubleshooting knowledge.
- Ability to read and understand schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation.
- Comfort working with computers, software, and connected equipment.
- Basic knowledge of networking concepts such as TCP/IP, IP addressing, LAN, and Wi-Fi.
- Strong problem-solving, customer-service, and communication skills.
- Positive organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to work independently and manage assigned work effectively.
- Ability to accurately document technical work and service activity.
- Willingness to learn unfamiliar equipment and technologies and adapt to changing service priorities.
- Valid driver's licence and acceptable driving record.
- Willingness and ability to travel as required.

Experience and Education

Previous experience in field service, electromechanical repair, electronics, commercial equipment, retail equipment, packaging, weighing, labeling, automation, point-of-sale systems, or related technical work is considered an asset.

Relevant college, technical, apprenticeship, or other formal technical education in electronics, electromechanical technology, electrical technology, automation, maintenance, or a related discipline is also considered an asset.

Work and Travel

- This is a field-based position requiring regular travel to customer locations.
- Work assignments may vary based on customer requirements, service demand, workload, installations, projects, staffing needs, technical requirements, and other operational priorities.
- Technicians may be required to work outside their normal geographic work area when needed to support company operations.
- Occasional overnight travel and participation in a scheduled after-hours on-call rotation may be required. Working hours may occasionally vary based on customer and operational requirements.

Pay: $55,000.00-$60,000.00 per year
