Job Cost Accountant in Calgary, Alberta, using Excel, financial reporting, and cost analysis to support Amrize construction operations.

This full time, hourly position supports the accounting structure for the Foothills Ready-Mix group. Reporting to the Controller for SAB Construction, the accountant assists administrative accounting staff and management. The work centers on billing, job costs, revenue, reporting, and month-end close.

Key Responsibilities:

- Ensure timely, accurate billing for active jobs
- Monitor costs, revenues, and estimated-versus-actual performance
- Prepare reports, journal entries, accruals, and allocations
- Maintain Work in Progress reporting within target
- Resolve billing and job cost discrepancies collaboratively

Requirements:

- Undergraduate degree in accounting, finance, or related business field
- Minimum two years of job costing experience preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and financial reporting skills
- Attention to detail and accurate financial documentation
