Handle explosives safely at BW Gold’s Blackwater Mine as a Blaster Helper supporting loading, transport, and blast preparation duties. Work a two-weeks-on, two-weeks-off rotation.

Reporting to the Development Supervisor – Mining, you will assist the lead blaster with production and development blasts. The work includes preparing blast holes, maintaining exclusion zones, and supporting explosives storage. You will coordinate with Drill Operators, Mine Operations, and other departments. This permanent role is based at the remote Blackwater Mine site in central British Columbia.

Key Responsibilities:

- Assist with preparing, loading, and firing production blasts
- Transport, handle, and stage explosives and blasting accessories
- Clean and measure blast holes before loading
- Maintain exclusion zones,



signage, and blasting security
- Support explosives inventory, documentation, and safe storage

Requirements:

- Ability to follow detailed instructions from a certified Blaster
- Commitment to workplace safety and safe work practices
- Ability to lift or move up to 50 pounds
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts in extreme weather
- Ability to work remotely on a two-weeks-on, two-weeks-off rotation
