- CA$129,471 / year About the chance The University of Toronto’s Temerty Faculty of Medicine is seeking a Manager, Core Research Operations for the Office of the Vice Dean, Research, Innovation & Health Science Education. The role supports the operational management, development, and administration of the faculty’s core research facilities. Responsibilities Oversee daily core facility operations, resource allocation, and the use of facility space. Supervise technical and research operations teams. Develop short
- and long-term strategic plans and continuous improvement initiatives. Support funding opportunities and financial sustainability, including partnerships and service consolidation. Support grant lifecycles, from proposal development through post-award milestone and financial reporting. Oversee facility health and safety programs, including biosafety permit applications.



Qualifications PhD in a relevant scientific discipline, or an acceptable equivalent combination of education and experience. At least five years of related research administration and operations experience at a university or hospital research institute. Research management experience in a basic research institute, including experience supporting core research facilities. Experience with financial, resource, and human resources management; research funds and infrastructure grants; and leading and supervising teams. Advanced proficiency with M365 and knowledge of chemical and biological research hazards. Full-time, grant-continuing appointment. St. George campus, Toronto. Hiring zone: $110,973–$129,471 per year.
