Location:
Remote (must overlap with Eastern time, 9 am to 5 pm) Employment Type: Part-time Contract or Full-time Contract (depending on experience) Hours: 20-40 hours per week We are a fast-growing health and fitness company hiring a full-time Junior Software Engineer to help build and ship our mobile and web apps. This is not a role where you get a ticket, write code in isolation, and hand it off for someone else to test and release. We need someone who can build features end to end across iOS, Android, and web, test them on real devices, fix what breaks, and get them shipped. You will work on a consumer app that brings together hardware control, AI coaching, community, and subscriptions under one account. That means real-world challenges like Bluetooth device pairing, account sign-in and verification, in-app purchases, subscription access, and connecting to e-commerce and billing systems. If you love building things people use every day, learn fast, and want to grow quickly by shipping real features to real customers, you will thrive in this role.

What You'll Do
• Build Mobile Features: Develop features for iOS and Android, including screens, navigation, account flows, and settings.
• Build Web Features: Develop and maintain web pages and web apps that connect to the same accounts and data as the mobile app.
• Work With Hardware: Help build and test Bluetooth (BLE) connections that let users pair and control a physical device from their phone.
• Build Sign-In and Account Flows: Work on email verification, login, and account linking so users can access everything they own with one account.
• Connect to Our Systems: Integrate with APIs including Shopify, Recharge, and our own backend to check purchases and unlock the right features automatically.
• Handle Payments and Subscriptions: Work with Apple in-app purchases, Google Play Billing, and web checkout, including showing the right options based on the user's country and app store.
• Build Locked and Preview States:

Make sure users who don't own a product see a helpful preview and offer instead of a blank screen.
• Test Everything: QA your own work on real iPhones and Android phones, across screen sizes, before anything ships.
• Ship Releases: Help prepare builds for TestFlight, Google Play testing, and App Store and Google Play review.
• Fix Bugs Fast: Respond to bug reports from beta testers and customers, find the cause, and fix it.
• Use AI Every Day: Use AI coding tools to move faster while checking and understanding every line you ship.
• Communicate Clearly: Share progress, ask questions early, and explain what you built and why. Our Stack You do not need deep expertise in every tool, but familiarity across this type of stack is preferred:
• Mobile: React Native / Expo, or native Swift and Kotlin.
• Web: JavaScript/TypeScript, React, Next.js, HTML, and CSS.
• Backend and Data: Node.js, REST APIs, and databases such as Postgres or Firebase/Supabase.
• Hardware: Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) libraries for mobile.
• Payments and Subscriptions: Apple StoreKit, Google Play Billing, RevenueCat, Shopify, and Recharge.
• Shipping and Testing: Git/GitHub, TestFlight, Google Play Console, and Expo EAS or similar.
• Collaboration: Slack, Monday.com, Notion, or similar.
• AI Tools: Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, and other AI coding assistants. Who This Is For
• You code for both web and mobile: You have built and shipped at least one app for iOS and Android, and you are comfortable building for the web.
• You can execute:

You take a feature from idea to working code to tested release without needing every step spelled out.
• You learn fast: When you hit something new, like Bluetooth or subscription billing, you dig in, read the docs, and figure it out.
• You care about quality: You test your work on real devices and catch problems before customers do.
• You think like a user: You care whether the app feels easy and clear, not just whether the code runs.
• You ask for help the right way: You try first, then come with a explicit question and what you've already tried.
• You use AI effectively: You use AI tools to speed up coding and debugging while understanding and reviewing everything it writes.
• You are fast on communication: You are active on Slack during

working hours
and comfortable with short calls.
• You want a long-term full-time role: You are looking for a consistent position where you can grow into a senior engineer with the company. What Success Looks Like
• Features ship on schedule and work correctly on iOS, Android, and web.
• Bugs reported by testers and customers are fixed quickly.
• Releases pass App Store and Google Play review without avoidable rejections.
• Bluetooth pairing and device controls work reliably on real phones.
• Users can sign in once and see everything they own, with no manual codes or workarounds.
• Your code is clean, readable, and easy for the rest of the team to work with.
• You need less guidance every month as you grow. Not a Fit If
• You have only built web apps and have never shipped a mobile app (or the reverse).
• You only want to write code and don't want to test, debug, or handle releases.
• You copy AI-generated code without understanding it.
• You go quiet when you're stuck instead of asking for help.
• You can't be online during most of Eastern business hours.
• You are looking for a part-time position or short-term freelance projects.
