McKenzie Corner, 1286 McKenzie Ave., Victoria, BC V8P 5P2 THE ROLE We are currently seeking a Potting Shed Clerk to join our Root Cellar team As a Potting Shed Clerk, you will be responsible for watering and caring for plants, ensuring overall appearance of both outside and inside potting shed displays, and providing excellent customer service.
• Water, trim, and care for plants and floral products.
• Maintain clean, tidy, and well-stocked displays.
• Unload deliveries and restock merchandise and ensure correct product rotation.
• Greet and assist customers with plant, floral, and garden product inquiries.
• Follow all safety protocols, including lifting techniques and protective equipment use.
• Maintain awareness of weather conditions and work safely in varying outdoor environments. Who We Are The Root Cellar sprouted from a deep passion for fresh, local food and sustainable food systems. What You Bring To The Table
• This position requires the candidate to lift up to 50 lb, bending, stand for shift duration, climb stairs, and perform repetitive tasks.
• The ability to multi-task and work efficiently in a busy environment.
• The ability to work well within a team.
• Previous floral or plant experience is an asset, but we are willing to train the right person with the right attitude
• Provide superior customer service.
• Be willing and available to work openings, mid-days, and closings both weekdays and weekends, 16 to 30 hours per week. What We Bring To The Table
