General Description The Warehouse/Shipping Associate is responsible for supporting daily warehouse and yard operations, including inventory management, order picking, material handling, and shipping/receiving. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work safely in both indoor and outdoor environments.

Skill/Effort Requirements

- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous warehouse, shipping/yard, or material handling experience is an asset
- Valid forklift certification required (or willingness to obtain)
- Experience loading and unloading trucks
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with inventory systems
- Ability to read and speak English to understand instructions, safety procedures, and documentation
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to lift heavy materials and perform physically demanding work (max 50lbs)
- Comfortable working both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Strong teamwork and communication skills

Responsibilities

- Organize and maintain Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) to ensure accurate stock levels
- Pick, pack,



and prepare components and materials for orders
- Load and unload trucks safely and efficiently
- Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment
- Perform quality checks on parts and materials as required
- Maintain a clean, organized warehouse and yard, including general cleaning duties
- Receive and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders
- Label, store, and track materials in designation locations
- Perform regular inventory counts and assist with stock control
- Use basic computer systems for inventory and order processing
- Assist with general yard duties, including outdoor material organization
- Work outdoors in varying weather conditions as required
- Follow all health and safety policies and procedures
- Work collaboratively as part of a team to meet operational goals
- Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and drivers
