Toronto, ON Job ID#: RQ10575 Duration: 11 Months Role Overview We are seeking an experienced Senior Software Developer
- ETL to provide best-practice migration solutions and oversee all aspects of data and file migration from legacy applications to new modernized solutions. The successful candidate will lead data conversion activities, develop migration strategies, ensure data integrity, and support complex enterprise transformation initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
• Provide best-practice migration solutions and oversee all aspects of data and file migration from legacy applications to modernized solutions.
• Analyze legacy data and files stored across multiple data sources and formats.
• Perform data profiling and recommend pre-migration data cleansing activities.
• Develop data migration strategies, mapping documents, interface specifications, mock conversions, enhancements, and production conversions.
• Translate technical specifications into working, tested applications.
• Develop detailed programming specifications and write, generate, maintain, and test code.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to software implementation, conversion, and migration activities.
• Coordinate data and file migration from heterogeneous platforms.
• Define and execute testing strategies to validate data integrity and reconciliation.
• Conduct post-migration audits and data reconciliation activities.
• Generate migration exception reports and perform additional data cleansing when required.
• Provide pre-conversion and post-conversion support to business stakeholders.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand migration requirements and conversion needs.
• Deliver conversion documentation and validate completeness and accuracy of migrated data.
• Support cutover and deployment activities throughout the migration lifecycle. Mandatory Qualifications




• 7+ years of experience developing and documenting ETL processes for data conversion and migration projects.
• Extensive experience with data migration planning and execution within digital transformation initiatives.
• Proven experience migrating data from legacy applications to modernized solutions.
• Solid experience with relational databases including:
• Oracle
• Microsoft SQL Server
• Azure SQL Database
• Advanced SQL development skills with experience in:
• Complex query development
• Data analysis
• Data validation
• Technical troubleshooting
• Experience migrating document attachments from legacy systems to modernized platforms.
• Experience working with cloud database technologies such as Azure SQL.
• Experience using ETL platforms such as:
• Azure Data Factory
• Informatica
• Experience developing migration-related documentation including:
• ETL mappings
• Data dictionaries
• Business cases
• Data migration strategies
• Migration plans
• Knowledge of Information Management principles, concepts, policies, and practices.
• Strong understanding of master data and transactional data concepts and dependencies. Desired Skills and Experience
• Full lifecycle enterprise data conversion and deployment experience.
• Experience performing:
• Data profiling

• Data validation
• Data audits
• Migration solution development
• Proficiency with SQL and PL/SQL.
• Experience building complex queries across multiple data sources.
• Knowledge of mainframe data formats, data types, segments, and non-relational data structures.
• Experience designing scalable data migration solutions.
• Strong investigative, analytical,



and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with data extraction, cleansing, transformation, and loading activities.
• Experience migrating file attachments and unstructured content.
• Ability to build strong working relationships with business and technical stakeholders.
• Experience supporting cutover activities and post-deployment stabilization.
• Strong communication, facilitation, negotiation, and consensus-building skills. Preferred Experience
