Operate ice resurfacing equipment and arena refrigeration systems as a seasonal part time Maintenanceperson at Countryside Arena and various arenas. Shift work is required.

The City of Greater Sudbury seeks Arena Maintenancepersons for Parks and Recreation Services. You will maintain ice surfaces, service facility equipment, perform building maintenance, and provide customer service. The position lasts approximately seven months, with up to 48 hours bi-weekly.

Key Responsibilities:

- Maintain ice surfaces using refrigeration systems and ice resurfacer
- Complete edging, shaving, whitewashing, lining, and logo painting
- Perform janitorial, grounds keeping, repair, and minor construction duties
- Monitor mechanical, electrical,



and refrigeration equipment
- Maintain required operating and preventative maintenance logs

Requirements:

- Successful completion of Grade XII education
- Refrigeration Operator B Certificate or Basic Refrigeration Level 1
- Three years maintaining similar buildings and equipment
- Demonstrated arena ice making and resurfacing experience
- Valid driver's licence and acceptable driving record
