We are looking for an experienced Sr. Financial Analyst - FP& A to join a contract assignment based in Cambridge, Ontario. This role is suited to someone who can step into a quick-paced manufacturing environment, quickly take ownership of core reporting activities, and deliver accurate analysis with minimal onboarding. The successful candidate will play a key part in month-end financial reporting, revenue validation, and commission analysis while supporting business leaders with clear and reliable financial insight.

Location: Cambridge, ON (5 days)

Contract: 2 months with potential extension.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the monthly FP& A reporting cycle and deliver complete, accurate results within a compressed close timeline.

• Reconcile revenue by comparing general ledger balances, shipment activity, sales records, and supporting source data to confirm completeness and accuracy.

• Administer detailed sales commission calculations across varied transaction types, compensation structures, and international sales arrangements.

• Extract large-volume data from Infor SyteLine, combine information from multiple reports, and build dependable Excel-based reporting packages.

• Prepare, review, and validate month-end accruals related to commissions, freight, technician labour, and other assigned items.

• Investigate reporting variances, challenge unusual outcomes, and resolve discrepancies through thorough financial analysis.

• Communicate commission results and supporting rationale to sales stakeholders in a clear, thorough, and confidence-building manner.

• Partner with finance leadership and operational managers to support financial reviews, cost centre reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and R& D-related analysis as needed.

• Assist with reporting activities connected to business process changes or system cutover requirements where applicable.

• 5+ years of experience in financial analysis, FP& A, or senior-level accounting roles.
• Robust technical accounting knowledge,



including revenue recognition, accruals, general ledger reconciliations, and month-end close processes.
• Demonstrated experience calculating and reporting complex sales commissions at a detailed transaction level.
• Advanced Excel skills, with the ability to work confidently with formulas, pivot tables, logical functions, and large datasets.
• Proven capability to consolidate high-volume system data, validate results independently, and maintain reporting accuracy under tight deadlines.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to explain financial results to finance teams, business leaders, and sales stakeholders.
• Ability to work onsite in Cambridge, Ontario and contribute effectively with limited training or supervision.
• Experience in manufacturing, B2B environments, or with Infor SyteLine would be considered an asset.
