The Prospect : The Parks Labourer 1 positions are key positions, which allow Parks to provide our seasonal operational service levels. These positions are required for various parks operations including clean up and general maintenance in the downtown area.

- First aid course is desirable
- Alberta Driver’s License
- Six months’ experience
- Ability to perform basic labouring activities
- Ability to operate and maintain related small, motorized equipment (e.g. lawnmowers, chainsaws, etc.) and to use a variety of standard labouring tools.
- Ability to cooperate with colleagues as a team, and to understand and follow instructions.
- Ability to exert frequent physical effort (e.g. planting, digging, pruning, operating mowers, and other equipment) and to work in fatiguing positions (e.g. bending, kneeling, etc.).




- Ability to work outside in most types of weather.
- Must be able to work independently and/or with a crew.
- Ability to exercise care and to follow all safety policies and procedures, particularly in high public-use areas.

Remuneration : $27.75 to $29.38 per hour.

Hours of Work : 64 hours biweekly; Friday to Monday as scheduled - including weekends; some evening work may be required when needed.

Additional Information : The anticipated duration of this term position is approximately 12 months.
