Cashiers report directly to the Manager of the Dining-Room. Main function will be to promptly and courteously serve customers at the check out line. Must meet and maintain departmental and company standards associated with pre-determined internal controls and procedures. Maintain a high level of customer and employee satisfaction. Comply with safety, security standards and be dedicated to excellence in service which is a hallmark of Future Electronics.
Responsibilities
- Visually inspect all purchases and accurately charge appropriate dollar amount in an productive, professional and timely manner.
- With the above in mind, maintain excellent public relations and at the same time ensure departmental financial regulations are met.
- Ensure that all portion controlled items, condiments, napkins, cutlery, etc. dispensers are continuously replenished, this to ensure customer satisfaction
- Brew various coffees in a timely manner, ensure pots are full through-out the service periods, maintain stocks of any items related to coffee and tea at all times, ensure all related products are ready to start the next day
- Prepare list of products needed from suppliers and give to purchaser in a timely manner
- Lock and unlock main accordion doors at beginning and ending of service periods
- Maintain a clean, well stocked and safe work setting at all times
- Ensure cash station is staffed at all times to ensure customer satisfaction, advise an alternate cashier if you must be outside visual range of cash station for any period of time
- Ensure clear, concise and constant communications with manager about any pricing issues
- Ensure knowledge of the menu items being served and be readily able to communicate daily specials, as well as all menu items to the customer
- Log out of cash system when not in attendance
- Additional or different responsibilities may be assigned by the management team as needed
- Ensure that the cash terminal and e-cash kiosks are in working order at all times
- Ensure the general tidiness of the service area, as well as assist in the upkeep of the dining room
Qualifications and Experience
- A high school diploma
- A minimum of one year in a related field
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Fluently bilingual (oral) French and English
