Overview The International Center for Family Welfare (ICFW) is seeking for a dedicated, enthusiastic and experienced Cook to join our Cultural Kitchen Program in Brampton. This role supports community wellness by preparing culturally inspired meals, with a solid focus on African, Caribbean, and Black diaspora cuisines . This role is ideal for someone passionate about the food industry, with a focus on delivering exceptional service and high-quality food.

Responsibilities

- Prepare and cook culturally inspired meals according to weekly menus
- Ensure consistent food quality, presentation, and taste
- Maintain kitchen cleanliness and food safety standards
- Assist with culturally diverse menu planning
- Manage food inventory and supply needs
- Support community programs and events as required

Experience





- Culinary certification or professional cooking experience
- Valid Ontario Food Handler’s Certificate
- Experience preparing African, Caribbean, or culturally rooted dishes
- 1-2 years of professional kitchen experience
- Ability to work independently and in a team
