Primary Focus: The Assistant Manager is responsible for supporting the General Manager in overall restaurant operations, execution, management of staff, and sales-building activities.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Maintaining operational excellence so our restaurant is running efficiently and effectively
- Creating a restaurant atmosphere that both patrons and employees enjoy
- Ensuring that all laws, regulations, and guidelines are being followed
- Taking prompt and appropriate action to resolve problems of any sort
- Controlling product and labour costs
- Training and developing hourly employees
- Expected to exercise positive judgment in decision-making and reporting issues to the GM
Requirements :
- Previous restaurant experience (2 years min), preferable in a leadership-focused role
- Experienced in all aspects of customer service and people management
- Demonstrated ability to coordinate and motivate staff
- Strong business acumen, including an understanding of budgets and operating costs
- Excellent knowledge of food, food handling and preparation
- A willingness to learn and an openness to feedback and coaching
- A passion and commitment to hospitality, teamwork, and fun.
