Our client is a well-established company in the food industry, importing products from South America for distribution across Canada. They’re growing their logistics team and looking for a bilingual coordinator to keep inbound shipments running smoothly from origin to delivery.

Responsibilities

- Coordinate multiple inbound shipments arriving from South America to Canada.
- Prepare, review, and manage customs documentation to ensure smooth border clearance.
- Manage the renewal of import and export permits.
- Monitor the temperature of each shipment in transit and take action when issues arise.
- Negotiate transportation rates with carriers.




- Build and maintain strong relationships with carriers and resolve problems as they come up.
- Provide accurate ETAs to the Sales and Production departments.

Requirements

- Fluent in French and English, spoken and written.
- 2+ years of experience in logistics, transportation, or import/export coordination.
- Solid knowledge of customs documentation and cross-border processes.
- Ability to manage several shipments and priorities at the same time.
- Solid negotiation and problem-solving skills.
- Availability outside regular office hours when needed.
- Valid driver’s licence and access to a car (the location isn’t accessible by public transit).
