About the Opportunity
Our client, an established and technology forward Canadian law firm, is looking for a Senior Business Development Lawyer to join their growing team! This role is ideal for a licensed professional and natural closer who wants to own a significant book of business and help shape how a up-to-date legal practice sells and scales. You will work with a steady flow of warm inbound prospects, so there is no cold calling.
Duties include but are not limited to:
- Advise inbound prospective clients on immigration matters and convert them into signed retainers
- Own a multimillion dollar annual revenue target, closing efficiently without compromising quality or compliance
- Build playbooks, scripts and training, and coach junior team members
- Work with internal technology teams to improve intake, qualification and follow up
- Use AI tools every day to manage your pipeline and work more efficiently
About You
The successful candidate will have the following:
- Member in good standing of a Canadian provincial or territorial law society, or an RCIC in good standing with the CICC
- A proven track record of meeting and exceeding revenue targets, whether in legal technology sales, originating work at a firm, or running your own practice
- Motivation from uncapped commission and energy from a full calendar of client conversations
- Hands on experience with AI tools such as Claude or ChatGPT
- A systems thinker who enjoys ownership, speed and a fast paced environment
- Immigration experience is an asset but not required
About the Job
- This is a hybrid role based in Toronto, ON, with other major Canadian cities considered
- Competitive base salary of $130,000 to $160,000 plus uncapped commission, with total earning potential of $300,000 to $350,000
